How about a March 1st FREEBIE?

I guess being housebound for so long can't be all that bad because it's allowed me to come up with a slew of new designs, one of which I'll be sharing with you today.

Do you remember when I told you all that I wouldn't be offering my FFF's (First Friday Freebies on a scheduled monthly or quarterly basis anymore but that I'd surprise you now and again with a new fee design as the opportunity presented itself?

Well here I am again!

Since Easter is just around the corner, that is what inspired me for today's free design.  Once I am given the go ahead to climb the stairs and get back into my sewing studio where all my supplies and stash have been playing with the dust bunnies for the past two months, my plans are to make my version from wool appliqued on cotton and then make it into a pillow.  The design also lends itself to machine applique and also redwork, another of my favorites.  I'll leave that decision up to you.  You can also enlarge it and hook it as well!

This is a copyrighted design and all I ask is that you respect my copyright and not sell it or claim it as your own.  Other than that, have fun!

Enjoy and as always,

Happy stitching!

  1. Wonderful piece for easter, but it won't let me get the file, it says I don't have permission.

  13. What a nice surprise. Thanks, Kaaren. Glad to hear that you are on the mend and not too terribly bored. Your snow looks like a typical Minnesota winter where the snow just keeps coming! Your home looks cozy and warm, a safe and comfy place to enjoy the winter months.
