First Friday Freebie #15

It’s the First Friday of the month again. Where is the time going?

I took a much needed break yesterday from the packing, purging and sorting to rest and regroup. I can’t wait until the move is over and and we’re settled in our new home.

Thank goodness I was able to remain a project ahead with my FFF’s and this month’s design was completed just after we purchased our new/old home at the end of September. I knew I just wouldn’t have the time to work on the design once the packing began.

I designed this month’s FFF in anticipation of the upcoming holiday season. I hope you enjoy making A Wool Crazy Christmas as much as I did.

Because I’m crazy about pincushions, I decided to try to make one for every season of the year.

Here are some close ups of the detail.

Please accept my apologies for not posting more often or for not leaving comments on your blogs. By the time I get to sit down and relax in the evening, I am usually too tired to do anything but read a little before my eyes start to close.

24 more days until the movers arrive!

Happy stitching!

I know how excited you are. We moved to a new/old house six years ago and are still wonderfully happy.

Try to pace youself, so you both keep healthy.

  6. That's too pretty to be a pincushion!! My goodness, I'd never be able to do all that detailing, I'd be working on it a month straight!! Good luck on your move, my hubby and I did it almost 4 years ago, and it's worth the work if you love your new home.

  7. Thank you Karen.
The pin cushion is so cute! And it looks like so much fun making them...
Keep going, even though the packing and chaos can make you feel overwhelmed. There is a saying: "When the going gets tough, the tough gets going..." Remember to take a lot of tea breaks, and dream about your new house and all the adventures you are going to have in it.

  8. Well I am not sure how but you always find ways to share your talent and we are so very fortunate to be at the receiving end of your gift. A good stitch here and there is a nice diversion from all of the cartons and visions of a move. Funny when I first came in to the pc I had Shaboom Shaboom in my mind and ta da there you were. Now that's just one good way to begin a day.
    Be always in stitches
