After the yard work was done, I made lunch and then started the prep work for a new design that has been patiently waiting for me to bring to "life". I'm making great progress so far today and should be ready to begin the handwork either later this afternoon...if I don't poop out...or tomorrow morning.
Speaking of handwork, remember a while back I alluded to another giveaway...in addition to the Aurifil thread giveaway?
Well I now have my own personalized collection of Valdani threads that they...Valdani...have made just for me called "Sentimental Favorites by The Paint Quilt". How cool and exciting is that!!!
And even better than that, they will be for sale shortly in my Etsy shop as soon as the shipment arrives...and at a GREAT price!
Having said that, I will be giving away a box of 12 of my favorite colors...very similar to the palette I used when I was painting...to one of you who have "liked" my Facebook page. As soon as I reach 1000 "likes", I'll do the random generator thing and pick a winner. For those of you who don't do Facebook...and I understand the reasons why because I held off for a very long time as well...I won't forget about you. As soon as we reach my Facebook goal, I'll have the same giveaway here so please be patient.
Now it's back to the prep work because then the fun part begins...the hand stitching with...you guessed it...my Valdani threads!
Happy stitching!

Congratulations! So exciting for you! I just bought Valdani threads yesterday for the first time so I am anxious to try them. I liked you on FB.
I already follow you on Bloglovin and now I also 'like' you on Facebook. I love your wooly things. I love to make things with wool. I don't have much Valdani thread, just use floss so this would be a nice addition to my little collection.
Wow - you're off to the races, Kaaren! Congratulations!
Cheers!

Congratulations…how exciting for you :)
Wow what an honor. Sure love the colors and your wool work. That is my FAVORITE. Something about it makes me smile.
Can't wait for the drawing, I liked you on FB awhile ago :)
Beautiful thread colors. I haven't found a source for the Valdani threads locally. I've heard it is good for BIG stitch -hand quilting.
Thanks for the Giveaway! Take care and let the guy in your house do the "farming" I DO!
Geez those would work beautifully for my embellishing on wool work. Congratulations to you are in order!
Congratulations on your own selection of Valdani threads! That's special! I have a hard time finding them here so to have a set would be really neat! I'm not a Facebook devotee either so waiting will be on my list too! So many exciting things happening lately - can't wait to see your project in the magazine, your new project you just started on, and the threads. I can't see the color right now because I'm having issues with color on my computer. Hopefully my daughter will be able to fix it Sunday when she comes for Mother's Day! Soak up being a special collection Valdani Girl - you deserve it! Enjoy and have fun!
WOW!! You are hitting the big time...next up will be your own line of fabric!! Congratulations...couldn't happen to a nicer or more talented quilter/designer!
