Just in case you've forgotten what Safe Harbor looks like (*wink*), here's a photo of my finished quilt.
The pattern packet includes 24 pages of detailed instructions, photos, illustrations and full size line drawings. I know you'll enjoy making it as much as I did!
It seems like such a long time ago but do you recall when I first announced I was going to publish a pattern for my nautical quilt, I asked for your assistance to come up with a title and that I would give the winner a copy?
The first gal who suggested "Safe Harbor" was Barbara Cordner. Barb, if you read this, please email me with your snail mail address so that I can send one out to you. Thank you so much!
If you'd like to win your very own copy, just leave me a comment at the end of this post and I'll pick a winner on Friday.
Happy stitching!
I love this quilt, and I'd love to win the pattern! And if I don't win on Friday, I'll buy one from your store. Thank you so much for all of your designs that you share with us.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win the pattern. This is the first time we haven't lived within 10 miles of the ocean (Atlantic), now we are 40 miles from the Pacific. The Jupiter lighthouse in Florida was a deep barn red color.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your labor of love. "Safe Harbor" is the perfect name for it - spectacular quilt.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your pattern, Kaaren. I have just ordered a copy from your store, but would still love to win. As we live on the coast of Lake Huron with lots of light houses here, I have friends or my quilt guild who would love to have a copy.
ReplyDeleteYour are always giving us so much through your blog. I always enjoy the patterns and the recipes.

When I read your blog I always think of Nova Scotia - I enjoyed the island 26 years ago, my daughter turned one there. We toured the island after attending my brother and sister in laws wedding. We stayed at several bed and breakfasts - her birthday we stayed at the Blue Nose Inn... I loved every minute of it. Your quilt reminds me too of that trip. I do not know if I am an enough accomplished quilter to attempt such a beauty, but if I win, I would certainly give the gal a try. Thank you for all the enjoyment I have received from you. You are truly a giver!
ReplyDeleteRespectfully,
JulieM
Safe Harbor looks like another winner Kaaren .Would love to win the pattern .I have made Raggedy and Friends almost all of your First Friday Freebies and pardon the pun just sailing along with the Row Quilt. I still have too put both pieces togather and add the border.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on producing the pattern. I would love to win pattern. Sadly, my father passed away suddenly on July 18 th. this would be a great memorial to him as he served in the US Navy in WW2 and was the anchor/safe harbour of our family.
ReplyDeleteSafe Harbor is a gorgeous quilt! I love lighthouses and told my husband that I want to make it a mission to visit every lighthouse on the East Coast. I have already visited the Nubble Lighthouse in Maine and hope to soon visit the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse here in North Carolina. Not sure how many there are but I'm gonna try. Thank you! anglanouette at gmail dot com

I love the quilt and have since you first showed it. It reminds me of Michigan where we love to camp. You did a great job.
ReplyDeleteI have watched you lovingly work this quilt from the very beginning, and I'm just as bowled over by the detail and creativity as I was in the beginning. If I win the pattern, I will give up every other craft - knitting, painting, etc. - and do nothing but work on my own quilt, until completion. What a family heirloom it would be...
