We went for a drive today…

To meet Oliver…up close and personal! 

Isn’t he the cutest little guy?

We asked for a puppy with a laid back, placid personality and Ollie certainly seems to be that kind of guy.

I held him for a while and he happily nestled into the crook of my arm.  *sigh*

The breeder had all the puppies out in the fenced yard so we got to meet his six siblings as well..

His ears haven’t stood up yet but we were assured that they will by the time we bring him home on August 1st.

Nine more days…but who’s counting?

It was difficult to say goodbye but before we know it, our house will be complete once again with the addition of Ollie to our family.

    Ollie is just the cutest, I'd love to meet him in person, but it is a bit of a commute from the west coast.

    Can tell you are all ready a family! Our sheltie breeder also encouraged preplacement meetings which included the entire litter. So fun & important too to see the interaction.

    Oh how sweet he looks and what a treat for you to be able to snuggle with him. When we picked out Cami that's what she did as well to me. I would put her down to pick up one of the others and she would come crawling back to me - won me over big time and she still is after 10 years. He's meant to be in your house. It had to be hard to leave - but your right 9 days will zip by. I'm so happy for you and Mr. Painted Quilt

    OMG! He is too cute. I bet it was hard leaving him there. Was this breeder closer to home? I know we will be looking soon for a friend for fergus. He cried for close to an hour and a half while max was out getting his nails clipped. Max is now ten and the arthritis has set in. We don't know how long max has but we love him dearly. Such a great Lab.

    Oliver is sweet...love his name:) Everytime a dog commercial comes on TV lately it's been tugging at our heart strings but we are staying strong. No longterm commitments for us at this time in our life.

    Maltese are the best dogs! I have two! They are such lap dogs, they'll run around for a bit and then just plop down and sleep. Always happy to cuddle.
    Seeing Ollie makes me want another puppy!
