It’s the First Friday of the month, time to release my 26th FFF design for you to make and enjoy.
I’m not quite sure whether I’m too early or too late with this design for us here in the Northern Hemisphere…but for our friends in the Southern Hemisphere who are just starting their autumn season, this one’s for you gals! For the rest of us, it’s never too early to get an early start on making things to add to our fall decorating stuff…right?
This month’s design is called Flying Scarecrow.
Here’s a little closer look…
The back…
And of course Frankie had to be right in the center of things while I was trying to write the instructions.
To download the PDF file which includes the photo, instructions and line drawing, please click HERE.
As my way of saying thanks to all of you for your support, kind words and gifts to me while I was undergoing cancer treatments, I’d like to give this month’s FFF sample to one of you. If you’d like to have this little Flying Scarecrow pillow come to live at your house, then please just tell me so in your comment at the bottom of this post. I will ship internationally so everyone is invited to enter the giveaway.
If your email address is not included in your profile, then you will come up as a no-reply blogger and I’ll have no way of getting in touch with you. As a result, you will not be included in the random draw which will take place on Monday, April 9th. To avoid this happening, just include your email address at the end of your comment.
Happy Easter!
I know it isn't considered smart to be the first entrant on a giveaway--the number one is never chosen, right? But I'll take my chances. Such a cute little fella, and I love all things fall! Thanks for the chance to send him flying my way! : )
ReplyDeleteWhat a loveley pillow Kaaren, gives me the impression you are getting better isn't it? I think I will try this pattern myself when autumn is coming near, now I have spring in my head and it's all around in nature, so you don't need to put my name in the give away....
ReplyDeleteI think he's lovely and I am sure my furry friends, Shylock and Hamlet, would love him to join them on the bed. Tell Frankie, they would keep him safe
ReplyDeleteHello once again Kaaren, Glad to hear you are recovering well!! I am one of those gals in the Southern Hemisphere. We have not had a very hot summer here on the East Coast. We had lots of rain though. Lovely warm day today! More importantly it is cooling down at night. I love your First Friday of the month pattern - a flying scarecrow. I would love to win your sample pillow.
ReplyDeleteMaryanne

Have a wonderful Easter weekend.

Your pillow really reminds me of the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz, one of my favorites, so thanks for the pattern. Put my name in the giveaway bag and give it a good shake. I forgot to comment on your Granny Sqaures quilt. I love your use of 30s fabrics. It's so very cheerful. The only reason I didn't do it myself is that Quilters Club of America had a mystery quilt a few months ago that had a very similar block, only it was a 7x7 rather than 5x5. I finished it and now just need a new baby in the family to find it a new home.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that you a doing well and back to quilt shop shopping. Keep on the road to recovery. Kathie L in Allentown
