Now tell me honestly, what would you do if you received an email from your LQS telling you that they were having a 40% off EVERYTHING sale?
A. Click on ‘delete’.
B. Roll over and go back to bed.
C. Call in sick.
D. Call your bank to get an increase on your line of credit.
E. Get yourself over there ASAP!
Well I don’t know about you all but I certainly selected ‘E’ …contemplated ‘D’…and made my way over post haste.
The shop is called Quilte Classique and is located in Pointe Claire, Quebec, a suburb of Montreal. It is a cozy little shop located in a picturesque village setting. I have been there a few times but because it is located about 65 miles from home, it is not somewhere I frequent that often.
But who can resist a sale?
I did my best to help stimulate the economy and purchased some wonderful fabric from the Welcome Home collection by Lydia Quigley for Clothworks.
The colors are very warm and rich looking. Lydia is an amazing designer and you can find her patterns at the Rabbit Factory.
I also purchased some notions which I couldn’t pass up.
Now I have to find the perfect design for this wonderful fabric. Any suggestions?
Happy stitching!
Kaaren ♥
40% off at a quilt shop!!! I would RUN over. I did go to my local JoAnns yesterday and used 12 of my 40% off coupons on notions and stuff. It was a coupon extravaganza weekend.
ReplyDeletehi kaaren,
ReplyDeletelove your fabric choices, they just scream autumn! my favourite season. a table runner would be adorable with a wooden box on top filled with pumpkins & greenery.
i've seen those snap hoop thingies and been told they are great. let me know how you find it.

Hi Kaaren!
ReplyDeleteWhen I stop drooling I may just be able to try and think of a project... but the drooling needs to continue for a while longer...
Enjoy your goodies!!!

Congrats on your purchase! The fabric is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI would say: E! There is only one "but" the shop is a little bit to far away, just a little, little bit...I'm living in the Netherlands! LOL
ReplyDeleteThe fabric you bought is so wonderful! This kind of fabric is my absolute favourite.
Many greetings from Holland,
Inge

ReplyDeleteCheers!
We don't often get 40% off here. I am really trying not to buy unless it is for a project. I have so much stash that I really feel guilty just buying cause it is on sale like I used to. LOL. Love your new purchases.
ReplyDeleteRemember the book Dick and Jane and they had run spot run. (If I remember correctly). Anyway I say Run Kaaren, Run. Great choices.

E it's definitely E! I'd stock up on things like thread too, it's normally so expensive.
ReplyDeleteAwesome Sale! I'd have picked E too. ;o)
ReplyDeleteWell--I would of picked "E" too--but would of really wanted to do "D" first--I can get really carried away at 40% off fabric and notion sales--here I only find 20-25 % off sales--SOOOOOOO--you did good--love the new fabrics--fall is what it it shouting to me--a nice quick cozy lap quilt!!!! Hugs, just, Di
ReplyDeleteOh my - good for you! Those fabrics are lovely!
ReplyDeleteWhat yummy autumn colors!!! These are going to make a beautiful quilt. What about a table runner? I am getting out my autumn decorations slowly but surely. I have my quilts out now. It is late for me this year as I normally start decorating in August. I feel like starting a new autumn quilt project and your fabrics only make me want to even more. But I need to get my charm quilt done first...
ReplyDeleteI am trying to get back to my stash diet. I have so much that I would have to choose option A with much pain on the finger pushing the delete button...lol.
Hugs ~
Heidi
