It started like this...
and looked like this when it was done.
Inside, there are many storage compartments which can hold all kinds of doo-dads.
There can never be too many compartments...or doo-dads...can there? And a few more...just because I was having so much fun.
And finally...
And that's what I did yesterday.

I need some kind of notion to keep it closed. I don't particularly want a snap as they are so predictable. I thought of a ribbon to tie it closed but then it would have to wrap around. Do you have any suggestions?

Happy stitching!
hi kaaren.....love, love, love it! what about a really nice vintage button with some matching ribbon looped around to close it? you know...a little ribbon to slip over the button.
ReplyDeletei have a question...is what you call wool, similar to felt? i've not seen much wool here, just normal cheap felt. i think i've phrased my question wrong, hope you know what i'm trying to say! LOL
it's late here.

Kaaren, I love it! The Pinkeep looks so good done in the wool.
ReplyDeleteWhat about using a tiny doll button with a crocheted loop? Would that work?
Kaaren,
ReplyDeleteYou are so smart. It is adorable. I think a narrow ribbon would be nice if you tacked it on so you wouldn't misplace it and it wasn't too wide to cover up the bunny. I like the other ladies suggestions too. I say it again, You are so smart!
Or what about a button but with a small piece of thin elastic to hold it closed. I think your pinkeep turned out beautifully.
ReplyDeletebee-you-ti-full! (but you already knew that, right...)
ReplyDeleteHow about a button with a ribbon to wrap around the button. this is adorable!
ReplyDeleteKaaren ~ I love your pinkeep. You should do a tutorial for it. I would love to make one of those!
ReplyDeleteJust too cute!! Love it! I love all the little pockets and places for things! And what about a button, something vintage, cute, maybe with a little ribbon loop?
ReplyDeleteOh Karren...the new pinkeep is so cute. I love it and wish I had the time to do one for myself.
ReplyDeleteKaaren - it is so adorable! You know those manila envelopes that have a figure-eight closure with a little string? How about something like that and have the string made out of a thin strip of wool and wrapped between 2 cute buttons? Can't wait to see what you do!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
The wool looks beautiful to work with. It's a really gorgeous sewing accessory!
ReplyDeleteWhat about a toggle button, with a ribbon loop? Or even a nice wooden button with a ribbon loop? It's very nice.
ReplyDeleteOh this is wonderful. Practical and beautiful. And that color of wool is delicious.
ReplyDeleteHi Kaaren,
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful. You are very creative. I like the toggle or the loop with the button idea. No matter what you decide it is adorable. You've been so(sew)busy!!!
~Karen~
What a CUTE pin keeper. I agree...vintage button and a narrow pretty little ribbon.
ReplyDeleteLove the pin keep with the bunny on the front...and I agree with you...you can never have too many little pockets!
ReplyDeleteKaaren...these are just so cute..I love them you are such a talented lady
