Are you hungry?

I wasn't but I am now!

The aroma wafting through the kitchen is intoxicating.  Is there anything better than home baked muffins for breakfast with a fresh cup of coffee?

Just out of the oven and waiting to be devoured...

Mmmmmmmmm...
Easy-peasy and oh soooo yummy!  Here's the recipe if you care to make your own.

Blueberry Muffins

2 C all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 C butter, softened (1 stick)
1 C sugar
2 eggs
1 C milk
1-1 1/2 C blueberries

Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
In a separate bowl, cream butter with sugar.
Beat in eggs one at a time.

Gradually stir in milk.

Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients.
Pour in liquid and stir just until moistened.

Gently stir in blueberries.

Spoon into well greased muffin cups, filling to the top.

Bake at 375 F for 25-30 minutes or until tops are firm to the touch.

Ollie helped, of course...by hanging around and waiting patiently for anything that might fall on the floor.

Gee, this waiting is hard work.
I think I'll have a little snooze and wait until later.

Zzzzzzzzzz.

One of the gals from my quilting guild just recently moved to Kuwait to be closer to her children who now live there.  She decided to sell all her sewing and quilting supplies and offered them to the guild members first.

I couldn't resist and the price was an absolute bargain.

Ever since I started quilting, I've been a Bernina gal...but from what I hear, I can quickly become a Janome convert.  Now I just have to learn how to use it!

You're welcome to come on over for coffee and muffins and at the same time, maybe give me a lesson or two?

I'll even make lunch!

Your muffins look delicious. I would love to own a Janome, thinking it may be my next sewing machine to purchase. Ollie is adorable as always and he looks like he is such a great helper, especially on the clean up crew!! Have a wonderful day!!

The muffins look delicious, and I just got up and am sooooooooooo hungry. have everything in house except for the blueberries, think I could just throw some chocolate chips in them? I've heard nothing but good things about Janome. My next machine will either be a Janome or Husquevarna. A friend has one of those and it's really nice too. I have to do some comparison shopping. I have a new furbaby now too, she is only 10 weeks old and is a yorkie. Her name is Macy Kate, I have pictures over at my blog Designs by Debbie and Dixie Too! http://debbiedixieblog.blogspot.com/

Enjoy your day, Kaaren

Just polished off my oats but a muffin would really go well with my tea. Next Sunday though, I'll be in the neighbourhood. I love how you keep challenging yourself. I am a Pfaff girl so I would be no use but I would love to keep you company if I bring over my featherweight. Like I needed another machine but everyone raves about how great they are for transporting. Have you put your garden to bed yet?

Just had to comment. I think your muffins are looking perfect, later today, I will give your recipe a try. Thank you so much. Dear Ollie, what a sweet little gentleman. I can't imagine life without my dogs. You are so fortunate to have the new machine. While I do not have this machine, my Janome serger is a workhorse and has been for twenty years. My MIL has the machine but doesn't use it, I may 'borrow" it!!!!

Wow!!! You've picked up a nice machine and such and won't be long before you start cranking out some things on it and looking forward to such.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Oh yum!!!! Wish I could come for lunch - I'd be there in a heartbeat.

I believe you're going to love the new Janome machine. I have the 6600 and prefer it to my Bernina. I'm a huge convert. :-) Have fun.

Snuggies to little Ozzie.

Oh...your offer sounds so inviting. I can almost smell those blueberry muffins. But I would come over just to pet cute little Ollie. He is a doll.

Now I need to go have one of the pumpkin pecan muffins in my bread box.
DD #1 bought herself a Janome and loves it. I think it was smart to take the opportunity to acquire another nice, working machine.

oh I so want to come for lunch/supper/whatever. I just replaced my Janome with a Huskavarna but I loved it. A great machine... just took a two day workshop with Karen Miller from Liverpool. Have you even seen her work? She is a fabric artist rather than a quilter but did we ever have fun.. will send you a picture by email.

Your muffins looks wonderful Kaaren!!!
I think you will like the Janome, I have 3, they are great little workhorses, and appreciate a service once every few years LOL!!! I bought my first sewing machine when I was 16, it was a Janome and I still have it, I used it so much I burned out the little motor, but I got a replacement and she still hangs in there!!! My latest one (oldish now!) is the 4800 Memory Craft which is out all the time and is used a lot, although I use my vintage Singers for all my piecing. I have a Bernina too, but I don't like sewing on it that much, mainly use that for free motion quilting as it has that BSR thingy! Enjoy your new toy, I like having a few machines out to use for the things they are particularly good at doing!!! I hope Ollie got the few crumbs he was yearning for LOL!!!!

Yes, I am hungry, and would love to pop in for a few muffins! And I do have Janome experience, you know, but not with that super duper model! You will love it...a brand new toy and it's not even Christmas yet! Thanks for sharing all your news and those delicious aromas!

YUMMY!!! I can just about smell those blueberry muffins and I bet they taste sooooo good too. Thanks for the recipe.

I have a Janome and it's the best machine I've ever owned. If there were flights from Chicago east today, I'd be there in a jiffy to share the muffins and lunch and then help you with your new machine, if you could get me away from Ollie that is, lol.

I love my Janome! I bought it around 2001 and have not had a bit of problems with it! It's a Memory Craft, the Quilter's Edition, don't remember the number, I want to say 4800. Not sure and too lazy to go look. lol
I use my featherweight mostly now. Just because I love it so and it's a good straight stitch. However, when I want to quilt something, I put my walking foot on and away I go!~ Or, binding. You will be happy. Love the table too!
Gosh, all your goodies look so yummy.
Ollie is the cutest thing and that bed looks like it was made for him and Frankie.
Hope you don't get too much from the storm. Gorgeous photos!!~ So crisp and clear, like we are there.

Your offer is almost to good to resist, except I don't sew on a machine if I can help it. All my quilts are completely hand sewn. I think I would have fallen for that Janome too though, looks great. I do hope you are not in any danger from Sandy?

Yummm! I'll be right over! ;)

Best of luck with your Janome--what a great bargain!

Yummm~ It all looks so good - did Ollie manage to get anything? I hope you love your Janome - will look forward to a review when you've used it! I'd be more than happy to come over and walk you through it - but, wait, we're having a hurricane here today, so I think I'm stuck in the house - LOL! (Hope I'm still laughing later on!)

Hi Kaaren

Love the blueberry muffin recipe. Your lunch cassarole looks good too. Is there recipe.

I have a Sears (Janome) Memory Craft from the late 90's, still going strong. Love it.
But also have an old Bernina Record. Great work horse too.

Hope you are not getting much of "Sandy".

Have a wonderful day.
