I'm making myself crazy!

It's a good thing that I've been procrastinating about starting to cut my Cheddar Broken Dishes quilt because it's driving me crazy.

Have a look at these photos that Margie, one of my readers and friends sent me.

To heck with the sashing, I say...and maybe even the cheddar will have to be put on hold for another project!

I just love this quilt!!!

Happy stitching!

LOL! That is how it goes sometimes--a quilt keeps morphing before your very eyes. That is a warm and wonderful combination in scraps and browns.
Hopefully by the time you actually put rotary cutter to fabric you will have found the combination that speaks to you the loudest of all! : )

OMG! I love it without the sashing! What a gorgeous quilt! Love how she did the border! Thank you for sharing!

Oops! I think I have to agree with you. I like Maggie's version even better. And I adore cheddar, so I guess you just never know what will inspire you.

Haha....I think Maggie's quilt looks more like you anyways. It's a beauty.

I really love this quilt - design, colors, background print, borders... If you were intent on cheddar, you could use a cheddar print for the background.

This one is a beauty. And I love the blend of fabrics used. Guess the cheddar will have to wait for something else.

Ohhhh this is one gorgeous quilt--I can see why you are chafing at the bit to start it--funny how something just grabs your heart and you know you have to make it...I have become a huge cheddar fan and orange lately--who knew??? hugs, Julierose

If I got to vote on which quilt you were to make, I'd vote for this one...and maybe even sew along with you!!

What a gorgeous quilt picture your friend sent you! I really like it.... I am not a fan of using a lot of white in quilts, so the darker colors made my heart pitter patter too!

What about the 'Clarissa White Alford quilt', that's also a beauty :)

Oh I so prefer this one too but unfortunately have cut out my fabric already using a cheddar fabric. As for the sashing I've had a border fabric for years and have decided to use that as well. Maybe I can make them both??? here I go again. Thanks for the photo's.....

Lovely quilt. Either way you go, it will be great. Decisions, decisions. . .

I love this one, too!

Yay Margie! :-) I kind of like this better without the sashing too! Or.... maybe it's the colorway? Either way... a broken dishes quilt has been on my list for awhile now.

I agree! LOVE this version!

The cheddar quilt is lovely, the only problem is the sashings are too light. Keep the broken dishes in indigo with very light beiges, use a darker beige for the sashings, keep the cheddar. The piecing will sparkle and the rest of the quilt will GLOW.
