Confession time!
Yesterday, after unpacking another 5 boxes that were labeled "Sewing Room", I felt like I really needed a break.
All the while, I didn't have 'visions of sugar plums dancing in my head' but a very bright picture of the new "Sunday Best" line of Kim Diehl fabrics calling my name at my now much closer LQS (local fabric shop). I just couldn't get the 'vision' out of my head ever since my friend Alice told me about them the night before.
So I talked Mr. Painted Quilt into taking me up there...what used to be an hour and a half drive is now a mere 20 minute jaunt...and what to my wondering eyes did appear? Nope, no reindeer but a quarter yard cut of each and every of the 28 sku's in Kim's new line.
The others that I had just unpacked needed some company in that rather large tote, don't you think?
An early Christmas present that definitely brightened up my day!
Happy stitching!
Those are certainly beautiful fabrics :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear that with all the work you and your DH are doing, some things will be easier. You have been smart and diligent in trying to clear out unneeded items to lighten your load. I hope to follow you in that in my own home.
Enjoy your new spot there. Merry Christmas!
That's a treat you deserve after all your hard work.
ReplyDeleteNice additions to the box. Merry Christmas indeed.
ReplyDeleteYummiest.Have fun playing with them!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
Ooooh...I've got to get some of Kim's new line. I think the Diehl fabrics may have their own drawer soon.
ReplyDeleteI love it when a shop carries the whole line instead of just a few. 20 minutes is no time at all! Sounds ideal. :D
ReplyDeleteA nice addition to the new sewing room....
ReplyDeleteWords from a true quilter sewer!
ReplyDeleteLove those fabrics! Now you can plan something fun to make with when you are all settled!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that your LQS is so close now! Lovely new fabrics too.
ReplyDeleteI will need those fabrics! Here I thought that you were going to show some new FW blocks! ;-)
ReplyDeleteSorry...Merry Christmas to you. Enjoy your new home!!
ReplyDeleteThose fabrics are scrumptious! Being 20 minutes away from the quilt shop might be dangerous. :0) Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThey are so gorgeous and I am glad to hear you are getting settled in your new place.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing more pics.
Marry Christmas
Mary
