Confession time!

Yes, I have a confession to make...

I'm addicted to making and collecting needlecases or pinkeeps or huswifs or whatever you'd like to call them.

This is the one I just finished...
And the very next day, I started another one.
This latest one is a "wool crazy" design.

It used to be pincushions and yes, while I'm still addicted to those as well, for the time being, the needlecases are winning.

I've progressed further than this next photo shows and as a matter of fact, I've unpicked, changed out and eliminated some of the elements already.
The fence is gone, the watermelon slice has been moved and several other elements have been added.  This one just might be my favorite so far.

There's still a lot of work to be done on it so I think I'll wait till it's completely finished before the reveal.

Which might be sooner than you think because my addiction just won't allow me to put it down for very long!  These fun new ideas keep on popping into my head about what to add next and I have to act on them before they vanish from my thoughts...at least that's what I tell Mr. Painted Quilt...but I don't think he's falling for it!  *wink*

And while I sit, stitch and create by the toasty fire in the kitchen, my best buddies are always there to keep me company.
Life is soooooo good!

Happy stitching!

Such a shameful addiction to have to confess, Kaaren! *LOL*
I LOVE the sheep needlecase, but this most recent project in the works is intriguing. Can't wait to see the finish.
Sounds like Mr. PQ can see right through you. : )
Oh, aren't those two the cutest the way they curl up together?

I completely endorse and understand your addiction lol.I keep telling myself that when I die, whoever goes thru my things will be wondering why on earth I have so many pincushions and needlekeeps lol. I'll probably have crazy old lady thereafter attached to my name lol

I love them, they would be so handy to have or to use for decoration in the sewing room.

Lovely work
Your pets make for a beautiful painting. I can imagine them in fabric on the cover of a quilt or needle case.

They say confession is good for the soul. Do you feel better now? There are much worse addictions, especially in the dead of winter. Now get busy stitching!! And please give Frankie and Ollie a pat from me.

You have to strike while the irons hot, and you're on fire with the needle cases. I love how the new one is coming together. Give a pat to the buddies for me, they're so sweet.

Very cute. Your companions are beautiful. Is the cat a rex?

I will never cease to be amazed at those two cuddling in every single photo. I have to hold Charlie and Lola's collars with one hand and the camera in the other and then let go and try to get a picture of both of them before they are completely out of the frame. You should do a book about them! You have the photos for it. BTW, love your needle keepers. You are so creative! Thanks for the inspiration!

I could make a dozen needle cases/rolls, or whatever you might want to call them and still want more. You are very creative.

How I would love to sit with you by the stove to keep warm and stitch to our heart's content.

Oh you are such a tease, making us wait until your latest creation is finished, instead of sneaking a few more pics of it in progress! All I can say is... hurry up!
Your pets certainly live a good life!

The sheep is my favorite. I have collected some wool, and I am (trying)patiently waiting, for a pattern to be published.

And as a ps, I also want to say kaaren, that you are an inspiration, and it is so kind of you to share your artistic talents on your blog.

With the cold weather you've been having lately, snuggling inside doing lots of hand sewing is very comforting. Your needle cases are very sweet. And I always get a laugh when I see pictures of Frankie and Ollie. They look so cute together.
