The Last Step

I love the slow, mindless process of sewing the binding on a quilt.

Not only does it afford me the time to reflect upon the journey I travelled while making the quilt but also to embrace the peace that I experience whenever I have a needle between my fingers.

Safe Harbor II...stay tuned for the reveal!

Happy stitching!

  22. Just love the backing and can hardly wait to see the front. I am waiting for my quilter to send my 2 finished quilts next week and do the binding. It must also feel terrific, especially with all your positive health news lately. Continue to enjoy the quilting process and all the joy that it brings you. Also Kaaren, thank you for the new First Friday of the month pattern. It is a real beauty and I am hoping for some spare time in the future to sew this Christmas gem. As always, be well and keep happy. Bev

  24. Oh! Oh! Oh! LOVE that backing fabric! I'm still quilting a sailboats quilt for my youngest grandson and that backing would have been SEW perfect! Instead he gets flannel dots and stars. Cozy but not the "perfect" backing for a sailboat themed quilt.
