Caught up!

Whew!  I finally caught myself up with Darlene's mystery quilt.

I was almost two months behind so when Darlene released the checkerboard border to us at our guild meeting last week, I decided that I'd better get a move on.  The final stitch was completed about fifteen minutes ago.

There is one final row to be released next month and then it'll be done.

If you'd like to make one yourself, here's the link to Darlene's blog.  Just scroll back through her posts until you find the introduction.  It's been a lot of fun and if you like scrappy, then you'll love this!

Update on Safe Harbor.

I am diligently working on writing up the pattern.  There might be a slight delay because just as Alice was about to load my quilt on the frame, her dear Mom passed away.  I'm still hoping to have the pattern ready by the end of the month so keep your fingers crossed.

In the interim, I made a second version of Safe Harbor in a different colorway but you'll have to wait a bit for the reveal.  *wink*

Happy stitching!

Love Darlene's mystery quilt, and how you've stitched it together. I think I will take your tip and have a look at her blog. It was nice to get another peek at Safe Harbour. I cant imagine it being better in a different version, but I bet it is as good. Blistering hot here these past couple weeks. A good reason to sit in and sew :-)

My sewing room is done in a beachy, Hawaiian feel so this pattern will be a must when you release it! Your other quilt turned out really pretty and looks like it was so much work. Great job!

Thank you to everyone who posted their condolences at the lost of my Mother. She will be missed. She was an avid quilter and lived 89 years to the fullest. She was still sewing patchwork in the last few months of her life.

Oh I LOVE the bunny applique you put on your mystery quilt! I just got caught up myself this weekend. I sure hope you're right that there is only one more step. This quilt is getting huge - but I love it so so much. And I especially love that I made the entire thing so far with scraps in my stash - except for the final 3-1/2" border we just added. Fun, huh?

Hope you're enjoying the summer.
