First Friday Freebie #21

After four days of rain and an unseasonal ‘nor-easter thrown in for good measure, we have our fingers crossed for blue skies and sunshine today.  Although yesterday dawned bright and cool, we had to fire up our furnace and build a fire in the wood stove for the first time this season.  We even had a few wet flurries of the white stuff.  Yikes!

I think that autumn has officially arrived!

To celebrate the season, this month’s First Friday Freebie was designed to showcase the fading days of summer and the start of autumn…my favorite season!  Watermelon, sunflowers, crows, wasps, pumpkins, birdhouses, flowers and of course the alphabet are included in this sampler.

The finished mini quilt measures approximately 21” x 19”.

It looks lovely, Kaaren. Given the difference of time in our seasons, I might have it started by next autumn :) I hope you don't mind my mentioning it on one of my 'Jenny's Jaunts'. Happy crafting, Jenny

Thank you, Kaaren. At first glance, I thought you had painted the designs onto fabrics. Those hand dyed wools give an almost water color look. Beautiful!
