First Friday Freebie #17

Can you believe that it’s the First Friday of February already?  I certainly hope that this month flies by as quickly as January did because that would mean we’re that much closer to Spring.  Please…no more snow!

kdivider

I’d like to take this opportunity to invite you to upload your finished  FFF projects and Raggedy & Friends blocks to my Flickr Gallery which you can access from my sidebar or by clicking HERE.  I know I’d love to see them and I’m sure that many others would as well.

heartsdivider_thumb2

Since we are in the throes of winter and cardinals visit our bird feeders on a daily basis, I drew my inspiration for this month’s FFF (First Friday Freebie) from their beauty.  Their coloring is simply amazing and lends itself perfectly to redwork.  This month’s project is called, “Winter”.

On the 26th of January, I celebrated my second year of blogging.  I’ve enjoyed myself tremendously and have made friends from around the globe.  But after two years, I was getting bored with the look of my blog, so Madame Samm from Stash Manicure/Sew We Quilt created my NEW look.  Pretty cool, huh?

heartsdivider_thumb2

Wow, I can’t believe you’ve stuck with me this far!  Congratulations!  If you’d like to help me celebrate my two years of blogging and would like to win my sample for this month’s design, just leave a comment at the end of this post telling me so.  If I can’t reach you by email, then your name will automatically be discarded.  If you are unsure as to whether or not you are set as a ‘no-reply’ blogger, please read this post as it will tell you how to check and change your settings.  If you wish to remain as  ‘no-reply’, that’s okay too!  Just include your email address in your comments so that I can contact you should you be the winner.  Whew!  That was a mouthful!  Oh, and I forgot to mention that Mr. Random Number Generator will select the winner on Sunday.  See you then!

Oops…I forgot to mention that I’ll ship internationally!

Love the new look of your blog. Love the fff too, but I'm almost reliefed to tell I won't be making this one... A cardinal is a bird we don't see around here, so it's a bit less appealing to make this one. But I love the whole outlook of this little quilt. Including the saying and the little birds in the corners.

Hi Kaaren, The FFF is very cute... I have been following your blog recently, I am a beginner in quilting and awed by all the lovely blogs in blogland, yours is one of them. Congratulations!! on completing 2yrs of blogging, we have something in common atleast with regards to this. Even I just completed 2 yrs, but way to go for me to reach somewhere near all the lovely sewers and quilters and embroiderers in blogland. Hope to be there someday with inspirations from all you people around. Thank you for the freebies.

Stitched With Prayer said...

Hi Kaaren! I've been lurking a lot and loving every single post but the winter has taken a bit of a toll on my health so I have done very little stitching and sewing. I did manage to join in on Charming Chatters "Word Up Party" last Saturday and really had a blast but had to quite very early. Of course we have been doing some renovations to and they are thankfully at an end. Just a few odds and ends to take care of but very small things. I know yours are just beginning and I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that you'll be able to actually enjoy watching it all come together, like we did. Like you, we did as much of our own work as we possibly could and there is always a wonderful satisfaction in looking as something that turned out wonderful and knowing that you did it yourselves. Then comes the day when things are back in order and you look around and say, YES...it came together just right. All of the sub-contractors we had did absolutely wonderful work. I will continue to watch yours as it progresses. Your Cardinal stitchery is just beautiful...oh how I would love for Mr Random Selector to smile on me but all the same, I'm wishing good luck to everyone. Thanks so much Kaaren for sharing your wonderful talents with us. Raggedy and Friends is totally delightful. Okay, I've rattled on enough but while I was sitting here I thought it was time to say hello and let you know I'm still checking in every day to see if something new is there for me to enjoy. Big Hugs...
