Raggedy & Friends–Block 5

I apologize for my blog absence but we’ve been in Nova Scotia since last Saturday for our house purchase and believe me, things have been very hectic since our arrival.  I’ll write more about our ‘trials and tribulations’ once we get back to Ontario because my computer time here has been very limited…hence the publishing of Raggedy & Friends Block 5 a tad early.  Tomorrow promises to be another busy day and I’m not sure whether I’ll even have time to look at my computer until late tomorrow evening and I don’t want to keep you all waiting.

So, here it is…Block 5 of my Raggedy & Friends BOM.

Please click HERE to download the PDF file which includes the photo, instructions and line drawing…and remember to click on the blue download button.

We leave Nova Scotia on Sunday morning to return to Ontario to finish the packing for the B-I-G move.  It’s going to be another crazy week, trying to tie up loose ends while at the same time anxiously anticipating the 29th which is when the movers arrive.

Please tell me that things will return to normal sometime soon.

Exhausted in Nova Scotia…

Kaaren ♥

Just think of the lovely new house you'll be cozy in FULL TIME after the BIG move. Warm fires, snuggly quilts, happy home. :o)

I am sure it is even more hectic than you make it sound but then you will have all winter to nest and settle in. I hope the rest of the process goes smoothly and your new home is everything you want and more!! HUGS!

It will indeed return to 'normal' - whatever that means. You'll be in your house for Christmas and you'll manage to put up a tree and toast the New Year and you may even get some sewing done! You will have moments of 'what were we thinking?' but more moments of 'which box was that in?' and before you know it you'll be right at home and quilting with the local ladies... May your new home refresh your spirit and inspire your creativity and enclose you all with love...
Hugs - Shari

You have been in my thoughts of late and I've been wondering how things are going. But not wanting to take up your valuable time with e-mail replies I thought I'd leave things until you had a breathing post.
Things will return to normal and there is no time line for that but trust me, one day you will be putting on the coffe and realise that yep, you are indeed home and settled.

hugs to you, Mr PQ and Mac

welcome to nova scotia

if you have your chritmas decorations marked only with a pen-Take half an hour and a $store christmas wrap and put a band around each of those boxes - so easy to find.
Put enough bedding for each bed you will use and a pillow for each person in one big box OPEN IT FIRST and set up beds before you are exhausted. Voice of experience.

Oh yes things will get back to normal you will see. Just don't over do it. Take time for yourself. How's Mac. I know Fergus and Max adjusted much sooner than I thought after our move.

Moving...packing...unpacking while it is a pain now soon it will all be worth it! Love your R&F Block 5!! It's wonderful!

I've been thinking of you "down the road" and hoping you are getting things done - what a stressful time moving is!
Drive safe going back and forth - I have my fingers crossed that snow holds off.

I have missed you and your Shaboom, but knowing that you are tying up loose ends and coming back to Ontario gives a warm and cozy feeling.
I wish you all the best for a safe trip back home and then back again to the East Coast to make that your home. Travel safely my friend, and when someone can define normal let me know...
As always

I have missed you! I know how busy you must be. We have moved thirteen times in our 53 yrs. of marriage. Exciting adventure, but exhausting. I will look forward to hearing of your trials and tribulations, but please take care of yourself. We can all wait until you are able to take the time to write. Don't overdue! Happy holidays!

Oh sweetie - I can't believe you took the time out of your hectic life right now to upload this - thank you so much. But honestly! You have so much going on! Yep, it will get better, it'll be a distant memory soon - you'll get through it, hon, I'm sure with much grace. Make sure you're eating well and getting enough rest in the midst of the chaos!

Thanks for another lovely block Kaaren. So thoughtful of you to keep up with the blocks amidst all that 'craziness' of moving house!

I've been thinking of you since I learnt of the big move. I hope everything is going as planned. Don't worry about replying, you're too busy.

Oh Kaaren, I was so hoping the move would be a smooth one for you! I wish I could be of more help to you. But, winters in NS are going to give you lots of time to "settle in" and unpack. Shelley PS, remember, you have my number!

Thanks for the latest Raggedy blocks. Its wonderful to hear from you as I 've been thinking of you all this past week as you start your move. Looking forward to hearing about your move and settling in. There is some good advice from other bloggers, but we do appreciate knowing that things are coming together for you. Normal life will return as you settle in during the next few months and you will be able to "nest" this winter. Rest when you can.

I've thought of you often and wondered how it was going. I've downloaded this file twice but no PDF file shows up. I wondered if the problem was on that end or maybe it's me! I'm so excited for you with this move and new adventure although right now I bet you just wish it was over and you could put your feet up and relax! Hang in there!

Kaaren, this time of year is already hectic without all you are going through but it also an exciting time. Your new house will be wonderful and I'm sure you will make it warm and cozy with all your lovely quilts.

Karen,
Thank you for taking time from your busy schedule to think of us.
I hope the 29th comes speedily and without any problems. Happy moving day!

I hope the move proves to be what you hoped for. There are always a few surprises along the way to closing a house purchase and then moving house. Hope there won't be too many more trials and tribulations ahead. I'm glad you found the old house you have been hankering for for so long. Be brave and keep your eye on the prize. Will be wishing you a safe move to Nova Scotia. Home of singer, Anne Murray! :-D
