They’re packing the two vehicles now. In the wee hours of tomorrow morning, we’re leaving for Nova Scotia. I’ve only been there once and I kinda liked what I saw.
There’s lots of water everywhere, which kinda concerns me. I’m not too fond of water because I’m a terrier and not a great swimmer.
I know something is going on because I hear lots of talk about moving. The last time I lived like this was when we moved from Florida to Canada. Even though I was young back then, the memories are fresh in my mind…especially when I see all the boxes stacked everywhere.
Here’s where I take refuge from all the chaos. Like my new hair cut?
I’ts kinda difficult to climb up and down the ladder but my Mom and Dad help me.
I heard them mention that the new house closes on Monday, the 15th…whatever that means. And it sounds like we’ll be staying down there until the end of next week and then come back here again. Gee, they must like driving. But I don’t mind because I love travelling in the car, especially when I’m with my Mom and Dad. I get to leave my ‘mark’ in many different places…if you catch my drift. *wink*
I’m soooooo bored.
Is it over yet?
Mac
Go safely and enjoy the ride. It's all coming together faster than anticipated and soon you will be all ready to settle in to make a house your home.
ReplyDeleteBe always in stitches.

ReplyDeleteJust think, Mac! You'll have lots of new places to mark when you get to your new home! ;-D
ReplyDeleteKaaren, I hope you have a safe trip and enjoy putting your new home together.
I am sorry Mac, I am afraid it is going to go on for a while!!! But there will be an end, I promise!
ReplyDeleteHey Mac,
ReplyDeleteYou're gonna love Nova Scotia. So much to see and do.
Oh Mac I'm so glad to 'hear' from you - whew! I hadn't seen you in any of the pictures that Mom posted so I feared you might be packed in a box. :-) And, by the way, I love your little perch with the ladder - perfect spot to view the chaos.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful adventure, best wishes for a safe, smooth move!
ReplyDeleteHey Mac... Winston here! If you are anything like me, you'll just "blink and it is a new day" with new adventures. Have fun on your road trip. Can't wait to see your new place! Have a safe trip.
ReplyDeleteWoof!... Winston Peabody III
ps... This was typed by The Lady as I am not too computer savvy. Love the new haircut, too!
Hi Mac! This chaos wil only last a short while. You will soon have a new place to "mark" as your own and your Mom and Dad will be very happy seeing you run around and make new friends. Don't worry about the water, it is fun!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip, and make sure Mom and Dad drive safe, ok.

Hi Kaaren
ReplyDeleteIn a few short years my house will be looking like yours....boxes everywhere. When my DH retires we will consider moving back to Canada and if it is not when he retires it will be before our green card expires....which will be spring of 2016. Hoping for the US economy to improve. It will be a major move and we will have to downsize. I am starting to stress about it already. I'm not looking forward to moving to another country...lot more involved than moving from city to city, state to state or from province to province. Good luck on your move....I'm sure you are looking forward to getting settled. I've moved 13 times in 40 years but most have been company relocation moves...another reason I'm beginning to stress already....it will cost big $$$$ to move from Michigan.....back home..... to Canada. Have a safe trip!!!!
Travel safely, Mac! I know you'll love Nova Scotia. I hope your mom will share pictures when she can!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, I love your Westie. Have a safe trip. Happy marking! It will be a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteWow Mac!
ReplyDeleteYou are one lucky mutt!! You will find a nice dog park and make all kinds of new doggy friends and think of all those new smells! And as far as water and beaches you will find some of your best smells there and of course lots of birds to chase...so it's all good!
So relax and enjoy the trip! My mutts should have it so good!! :o)
Take care!! and tell your MOM to Keep smiling!!

Wow, it's getting close, you'll be settled in before you know it Mac! Your mom and dad take very good care of you and my Friskie and Sadie girls said to tell you to be sure you check out all the interesting 'notes and letters' you find along the way and leave plenty for others passing through to 'read'!!! Ah...furry people speak, go figure, LOL. Kaaren, I will continue keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for safe travels and a smooth transition. I can't wait to see your new home after you put your special touch to it. Hugs...

Very soon, Mac - your nose will go into overdrive with all the new sniffing going on!!!
ReplyDeleteMy Mother moved with my step-father from outside of NYC to Malagash Point, NS when she was 57 and knew no one there. She spent 29 years loving it ... loving the ocean, loving her neighbors and loving the land!
ReplyDeleteDear mac,
ReplyDeleteI think you are doing great, being in the house with all those boxes and not going ballistic. A dog we know had to stay for a week at her 'grandparents' when her 'mum and dad' moved because she totally freaked out because of all the boxes.
We have a cat, we were very worried because we had to move twice in three months and cats do not like to move, but miraculously our cat just took it in het stride, she behaved like she lived in her new home for ever (including going outdoors) the day after both moves.
All the best for the big move.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Oh Mac, you sweet little pup....hope you enjoy your traveling and your new house! There will be lots of places to mark at your new house too! Jackson and I have done it to our yard many times! Your friend in Ohio, Barney. Aka...a Standard Poodle and a Beagle.
ReplyDeleteHi wee Mac. Enjoy your journey. just think of all the new areas you will have to explore once your pets are settled in their new place :) Make sure they take lots of photographs to share.
ReplyDeleteMac is adorable! I hope you settle in fast :o)
ReplyDeleteOh kaaren, what an ordeal. Hope everyone gets to the new home and all is good.
ReplyDeletePoor puppy! It will be over soon and you will be Home Sweet Home again.
ReplyDeleteWell Mac, you're probably on your way back to Ontario again now. Good job you don't need a passport!
ReplyDeleteHappy travelling, hope you all get settled before the snow flies!
Woof, from Mac(k).
Mac you're SO brave! And when you get there - so many new smells and places to explore! Hang in there, not long now! Sophie sends her love and good wishes!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Safe trip, and enjoy your new home by the water. That has got to be the ultimate!
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your Blog, and I love everything that you do. I have just started doing wool applique, and I am already hooked on it! Your Christmas pincushion pattern is absolutely beautiful, and I have already downloaded it to give it a try. Love the redwork too, and I used to do a lot of counted cross-stitch, but unfortunately, there just aren't enough hours in the day to do it all. I also like to quilt, knit and crochet. Happy stitching in your new home.
