A Child of the 60’s & 70’s

How many of you remember poodle skirts, bobby socks and saddle shoes?

If that’s too far back for you, then how about Jimmy Hendrix, Janice Joplin, Peter,Paul and Mary or Bob Dylan?

What about Woodstock, Haight-Ashbury or the Village in New York?

Peace symbol I know I’m really dating myself, but those were the “good old days”…the days that had a direct influence on who I was then…

Peace ThenAnd who I am now.  *wink*

Peace Now

And do you remember go-go boots and the disco era of the 70’s?  I do.  Funny thing though…I was never into go-go boots then.

But times change and so do tastes.  I’ve mellowed a lot since then.  Now, I’m into Go Go of a different kind.

This kind…

  4. Yippee for you! I happened to have a pair of black Go Go boots and thought I was pretty cool prancing around to Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots are Made for Walking." Might bust a hip today if I tried it.

  11. I remember all those things - I can remember getting a pair of go-go boots. That was a real thrill for me because I had to wear saddle shoes until I was in 6th grade because I had flat feet.

Lucky you for winning the Accuquilt. I'm so jealous. I hope that you have a lot of fun with it and post pictures of what you do.

  28. Well Kaaren, I remember all of the things you listed...too well! LOL Like my friend says about the 60's and 70's "You can read about it, you can watch movies about it and documentarys about it, but if you didn't live through that time, you will never understand the changes that were brought about purely by the events that took place during that era." So very true.

Now, let's get to the really good stuff, I am so excited for you that you won a GO! giveaway. Congratulations! I take my hat off to all the great bloggers hosting these GO! giveaways because the volumn of participants is HUGE. Also, to Accuquilt for their generosity. What a great way to get their products out there! I know I would love for one to come my way. Since I can't seem to win one I really do get especially excited when someone I 'know' does! I can't wait to read your reviews on how you like it. Good times!!! Hugs coming to you.
