Where does the time go? It’s the First Friday of the month and that means that I have another Freebie design for you to enjoy.
I think this month’s design is appropriate because I’ve been doing a lot of work in my perennial flower beds of late, so I present to you…From My Garden.
Another one of my passions is gardening and the preliminary sketches for these flowers were done a couple of years ago from some of the actual flowers that grow in my gardens…violets, daisies, tulips and lilies. For this particular design, I used artistic licence to alter the line drawings somewhat and decided that they would appear more romantic when held together by a flowing ribbon.
I stitched From My Garden on a pair of 400 count cotton pillow slips. I wish I could take credit for the crocheted edge but I cannot because I don’t know how to crochet. My friend Grace worked her magic on them for which I am eternally grateful.
Here is a closer look at the design and you may click on the image to enlarge the photo.
To download the PDF file which includes the photo and instructions, please click HERE.
If you’d like, please grab the First Friday Freebie button (by right clicking and saving) from my sidebar and place it on your sidebar with a link back here in order that we may share it with those who might not otherwise find their way here. The button will also serve as a reminder that on the First Friday of each month there will be another new Freebie design available for you to enjoy.

ReplyDeleteKaaren, I have only just found your blog and am really loving it! Just traveled back through it to check out all your First Friday Freebies. I happily found around 4 or 5 that I just had to have. I particularly liked the snowman, the Halloween piece, and the Fall design. Thank you so much for taking your valuable time to design these and send them out to the world. That is very generous and the patterns are wonderful.
