Happy New Year to you all! I hope that you had a great time welcoming in 2010.
Here it is, January 1st and the start of a brand new year. As luck would have it, it’s also the First Friday of the month.
This month’s design is in keeping with winter here in the Northern Hemisphere. For those of you who are enjoying the heat of the summer at this time, perhaps this project will make you feel a bit cooler. *wink*
~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~
I made two samples of this month’s design, one in redwork and the other in bluework. I’ll leave it up to you to decide which one you would like to try or perhaps you might want to make them both as I did.
In my previous two posts, I alluded to a little “surprise”. This month marks my first year blogging anniversary. I have had so much fun over the past year and as a small token of my appreciation to those that find their way here, I would like to offer one of this month’s finished projects as my gift to you.
In order to be entered in the draw, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post. Just tell me which one you would like to win, the red one or the blue one. I will do a random number generator draw on Monday, January 4th and will announce the winner on Tuesday, January 5th. Please make sure that I can contact you by email. If you are a ‘no-reply’ blogger and do not leave an email address in your comment, I’ll have to ‘spin the wheel’ again . I will gladly ship internationally as well.
Edit: The drawing is now closed. The winner of one of the FFF pillows will be announced tomorrow (January 5th) morning.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
So without further ado, here is this month’s FFF…First Friday Freebie called “Let It Snow”. The finished dimensions are 8” x 7”. You may enlarge or reduce the pattern to suit your needs.
Here’s a closer look at the redwork sample…
And the bluework one…
To download the PDF file containing the photo, line drawing and instructions, click here.
If you’d like, please grab my First Friday Freebie button (by right clicking and saving) from my sidebar and place it on your sidebar with a link back here in order for us to share it with those who might not otherwise find their way here. The button will also serve as a reminder that on the First Friday of each month there will be another new Freebie design available for you to enjoy.
Thanks again to my amazing friend Robyn for creating the PDF file. Without her help and patience, I wouldn’t be able to make these designs available to you.
Thanks for stopping by and as always…
Happy stitching…and Happy New Year!
Kaaren ♥
