Wool Crazy Sew Along

About a week ago when I was blog hopping, I happened to see a photo of this new book on the market…

and I fell in !

A crazy quilt done entirely in wool!  Be still my !

I immediately emailed Brenda at at Pumpkin Patch Primitives to see if she could order the book entitled Wool Crazy by JoAnn Mullaly for me.  Well of course she could and a couple of emails later and before we knew it, the Wool Crazy Sew Along blog was born.  We thought that there are probably many more of you out there in blogland who, just like us, working with wool, the primitive style and would some company as we sew along and create our future heirlooms.

So if you’d like to join us for some fun & friendship, drop in and set a spell at the Wool Crazy Sew Along.   I’ll be your hostess-with-the-mostess for our sew along.  *wink*

Our goal is to complete this quilt and with each others help, we can do it!

Are you Wool Crazy?  We are!

  1. Love the idea of the wool crazy and I love working with wool... And a question.. what type of pen/pencil/marker do you use to transfer your designs for embroidery? I just read that you should not use the water soluable inks.. which I used.

  23. So, so neat! How great of you to generously be the hostess! I have so much I'm working on (so why did I pull out my measuring tape to see where I might put it? lol). I'm trying to remain a fan, but if I see too many wonderful pictures I might cave and join in. :-)

  24. Yes, I love the wools and have bought a few from Brenda. She is a really sweet person. That quilt will be a masterpiece but wool is a little pricey for my budget. Have fun doing it,

  25. Kaaren,

I understand now and learnt about "wool felt" on Simply Quilt this week on Foxtel. I didn't realize the colours were so lovely, and the importance of washing it. Where do you buy yours? It's something that I'll have to get from the US, as what is availabe here is just a cheat polyester type felt.

I love the look of the CW Bride's quilt as well. However, I'm going to be strong and not join in with that at this stage!!!!

    Regards,
